Vova Cafe has interest and appeal coming out of its ears. From the colorful, perfectly blended smoothies and iconic coffee drinks you might spot in a Korean Cafe vlog to the artistic theme that decorates each wall, creating a 2D look throughout the entirety of the space.
While my search for cute cafes is unending, I used the promise of a “croiffle” (a croissant waffle, if you’re not in the know) to lure my traveling companion away from The Strip to try out this little café with me.
I ordered the famous dalgona latte; I had wanted to try it for months but could never justify buying instant coffee [eww] just to make it at home. It had a beautiful balance of bitter and sweet, and, I cannot stress this enough, must be stirred before you drink it for proper enjoyment. It’s so pretty the way it’s put together, but you won’t get the proper tasting experience unless you stir it up. I especially enjoyed dipping the dalgona candy into the drink and snacking on it.
My date ordered only the croiffle and sang its praises to me, making sure I got to try a bite. It was crispy, yet soft, and thankfully not too sweet. The croiffle is dressed simply with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream to complement the sweet bread with some moisture and creaminess.
The atmosphere of the cafe was quiet, and there weren’t any other customers during our visit, so the staff retreated into the kitchen. The seating arrangements are plenty, with socialization encouraged by a table of board games against the wall. The space itself is decorated cutely with cartoon drawings that transport you into the two-dimensional world. Even the floor is painted with cartoon floorboards, making this not only a great spot to grab a delicious drink, but also a modern chill-zone to hang out with your friends and take cute pictures.
Conclusion: Vibe: 8/10. Service: 7/10. Product: 8/10.
