I was mostly tagging along for the ride during Jock’s birthday trip in October 2021, but while we were there, I made a few suggestions for places we should see while we were in town. The location at the top of my list–The Chandelier Lounge. Opulent, exquisite, glittering, and stunning; the majesty of The Chandelier Lounge is an incredible sight to behold.

Possibly what I love most about Las Vegas is the abundance of themed buildings and unique, campy attractions. I have been known to adore bright, colorful, sparkly, and ostentatious things, and Sin City is an epicenter for that kind of beauty. So it’s no surprise that when I read about a bar that is literally known for being sparkly, I had to stop by.

The Chandelier is a multi-level work of art, shrouding three separate lounge areas in immense curtains of shimmering light. Specially placed lights highlight the millions of crystals that make up The Chandelier. On a Friday night, seven of us rolled up to the entrance of Level 1.5 with no reservation after a failed attempt to make it to Area 15 before they closed. Whereas Level 1 (Bottom of the Chandelier) was quiet and subdued, Level 1.5 (Inside the Chandelier) was bustling with activity and people. The artistic floor seating was all reservation-only, and we waited more than 20 minutes for a space at the bar where only three of us were able to sit. We spent our evening standing right up next to the bar, engaging in a variety of conversations amongst ourselves, and for the cocktail aficionados among us, exploring their refined drink menu.

I absolutely reveled in the atmosphere of The Chandelier Lounge. I was delighted to match my surroundings, being all sparkly and pink, and it was so very snug and crowded, like being hugged from all sides. I sipped my cocktails and took in the majesty of the beauty around me–glittering, ornate, and luscious pink. I enthusiastically ordered for myself and my partner, “Hi, can I get your Cosmo Cosmo? Actually, two Cosmo Cosmos, please.”

While in the Chandelier Lounge, I was able to try an espresso martini for the very first time, and admired the unique rice paper comic art garnish on another’s drink. Their cocktails impressed me so much that I left a drunken note in my phone that reads, “Ruben at chandelier made gr8 drinks call manger to praise him.”

The Chandelier is not only a sophisticated cocktail bar, but it is also a stunning work of art and a unique experience for all. It ended up being one of my very favorite bars I’ve ever visited!
