Well. This was certainly something.
The protagonist wasn’t too likeable, and spent so much time just wandering around to the point that it became distracting. The concept was somewhat interesting, but the film didn’t end up actually saying much about the demon of capitalism. Furthermore, the entire story was derailed by a bizarrely long alleyway fight that made literally no sense in the plot and was only there because, “hey, this guy’s a wrestler, let’s do something with that.” The characters were flat, the action was uninteresting, but it at least had a handful of okay jokes.
Maybe I’m just not the target audience, but I didn’t end up enjoying it much. It doesn’t seem to provide much other than a way to kill some time.
Rating: 💬 I have now seen this movie.
My best friends and I (known affectionately as Goblin House) have a regular movie night where we all sit down together and watch a movie one of us has chosen. Most of these reviews will come from a Goblin Movie Night, so they will be tagged with the nickname of the Goblin who picked the movie.
